JKTPO: HAUSLA

It is an initiative of the India SME Forum, along with the Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO), launched on June 29, 2021, for the women entrepreneurs of Jammu and Kashmir to equip them with training and development, financial support, and marketing assistance.

The initiative was launched by Shri Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant General, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India.

Objectives
  • Identify women entrepreneurs of J&K and empower them by providing continuous support and build an ecosystem to inspire other local women entrepreneurs.
  • Create a channel for women to explore their potential and increase their business
  • Provide knowledge about promotion policies of the Government to women entrepreneurs, as well as access to Credit and Financial Services.
  • Provide training to overcome challenges related to financial, legal and societal biases
  • Enable access to enterprise education and training with focus on business development and business information.
  • Enable access to women enterprise networks, associations, business premises and market linkages.
Program Outcome
  • 121 women were shortlisted as Batch 1 for 3 months of training and financial assistance.
  • On December 2, 2021, JKTPO organized a one-day comprehensive workshop cum felicitation ceremony ‘HAUSLA-Inspiring her growth’ at Jammu and virtually at Srinagar for catalyzing women entrepreneurship in J&K.
  • This workshop has eventually led to the start of the second stage of HAUSLA program which will include one-to-one mentoring of women entrepreneurs.
  • A HAUSLA credit scheme was also launched specially curated by J&K bank.
  • A MoU was signed between J&K bank and JKTPO for promotion of Women Entrepreneurship in J&K.

SAATH: Together for a Better Tomorrow

Jammu & Kashmir Rural Livelihood Mission (JKRLM) initiated this initiative for strengthening the JKRLM intermediary network and targeting 500 rural women residents of J&K, above 18 years of age, members of Self Help Groups (SHGs), exhibiting demonstrable interest in scaling up the livelihood source into an enterprise, each with the potential to provide employment to more than 50 rural women and persons.

The initiative was launched by Shri Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant General, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India.

Objectives
  • Enabling self-employed women from SHGs across J&K to start and scale their own scalable enterprises for value creation and enabling labor-intensive employment opportunities in rural areas.
  • Enabled intermediaries to play a pivotal role in offering network-based enterprise support to rural enterprises under the JKRLM.
  • Enabled Networks, Digital and Physical Platforms, and Other Interventions for Access to Markets—Local, National, and International—for Showcasing Products of SHG Women with Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and Direct-to-Buyer (D2B) Access.
  • Enabled cluster-based producer cooperatives and FPOs in both divisions, with common facility centers supporting rural enterprises in production planning, packaging, branding, and go-to-market channels.
