Women Exporters Program

WEP 1

The Women Exporters Program is an initiative by the India SME Forum launched on March 1, 2023, on the occasion of the 8th Annual Shakti Convention 2023, in the presence of Chief Guest Shri Narayan Rane, Hon'ble Union Minister for MSME, Government of India.

Objectives
  • The Women Exporters program aims to provide training, skills, and growth opportunities that allow women entrepreneurs to better understand exports and benefit from global trade.
  • Opportunities for experiential learning through discussions, lectures, and case studies for the first time women exporters in India.
  • It aims to give women-owned businesses access to international markets, provide support, and publicly recognize successful women entrepreneurs to encourage them.

Outcome: Women Beneficiaries out of the program’s cohort 1 is 187, with over 2600+ who attended the workshops. 117 women received export orders, while 27 women exported Rs. 1 crore. The initiative has been successful in handholding and guiding first-time exporters to understand the international market, understand market trends, packaging and delivery, and any other queries, and eventually start exporting to different countries.

Successful women entrepreneurs such as Ms. Pooja Doshi of Miraya Arts is exporting to the US, Canada, Australia, Singapore, UK, UAE, France and Singapore. Ms. Kavita Badhani of Aditya EXIM to USA and New Zealand and many other successful first time exporters.

WEP 2

The Women Exporters Program 2024 aims to provide training, skills and growth opportunities that allow women entrepreneurs to better understand and benefit from global trade.

After a successful completion of Cohort 1, the 2nd Cohort started from 20th April 2024 with 519 women selected as participants.
