The initiative was launched by Shri Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant General, Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir on 29th June 2021. Jammu & Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO) along with India SME Forum initiated this program for the women entrepreneurs of Jammu and Kashmir to equip them with training and development, financial support and marketing assistance. The training program was executed in collaboration with National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NIMSME), Flipkart India as E - Commerce Partner, J&K Bank as Financial Partner, in association with the Department of Industries & Commerce, State Govt. of J&K.
Identified Women Entrepreneurs (WE) of J&K and empowered them as role models by providing them with continuous support, as well as builded an ecosystem to inspire other local women entrepreneurs.
Created a channel for educated women to explore their potential and subsequently channelized their business acumen.
Provided the knowledge about promotion policies of the Government to women entrepreneurs, as well as access to Credit and Financial Services.
Trained WE to overcome challenges related to financial, legal and societal biases by focusing on their innate potential.
Enabled access to enterprise education and training with focus on business development and business information.
Enabled access to women enterprise networks, associations, business premises and market linkages.
Any women from J&K, more than 18 years of age.
Owner of more than 33% of an Enterprise, while also running & managing it.
Registered Enterprise with an Udyog Aadhar or Udyam Registration & PAN.
More than 3 years of existence in business.
Exporter or near readiness to export.
